Associated Sites:Shaw Wood SK 385550 a Derbyshire Countryside Service woodland of two faces. One part is mature woodland (wonderful in spring with a carpet of Bluebells), the other on a restored colliery spoil heap. This wood is worth a wander in summer with views over South Wingfield Manor to a backdrop of warbler song. Ogston Reservoir SK375599 the birder's favourite destination, though quiet in mid summer, there is always a chance of something and the opportunity to add to the Dragonfly recording of the site.
